Under the royal patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, may Allah protect him, the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing (MOMRAH) organizes the third edition of the Projects of Distinguished Cities During the Reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Exhibition ( PDCE ) in Riyadh between ( 24 – 28 Sep. 2022 ). The exhibition is accompanied by a forum and witnesses the participation of many entities from the governmental and private sectors. The exhibition and forum aim to highlight the Mega Projects executed in the Kingdom through the effective partnership among entities from the two sectors to develop all Saudi regions, cities and provinces. In addition, the event sheds light on the successes achieved under the 2030 vision to improve Saudi cities according to the Quality of Life Program, which is one of the Vision’s programs, and to promote three Saudi cities to be among the best cities in the Global Liveability Index. The event investigates the impacts of the projects on the Saudi cities and their inhabitants, in addition to exploring the successful experiences and the benefits achieved, and foreseeing the future of economic and investment openings in all Saudi regions and cities to reduce the environmental impact of cities and to fortify the inhabitants safety and protect them from disasters. The exhibition and work sessions address the most important challenges encountering the Saudi cities development and the innovative solutions to overcome them. Other tackled issues are related to ways to achieve a sustainable balanced urban development with healthy living conditions, to enhance the quality of urban life, to advance laws, policies and regulations of municipal and housing activities to ensure the efficiency and automation of the services via introducing a mechanism to coordinate among concerned governmental bodies to serve the MOMRAH beneficiaries smoothly. The schedule of the work sessions includes many axes about the effects of the Vision programs on the Saudi cities, the future of the economic and investment opportunities in the various regions and cities, the housing sustainability, the best ways to achieve urban development, the sustainability of infrastructure and municipal services and the development of smart cities.
